You're invited to join an
Anti-Racism Group
for White Folks
Based on the belief that people are good and racism is learned, we will work to unlearn racism through connection, listening, and feeling feelings.
The next series begins October 2024, will meet virtually on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, and will end July 2025.
What will we do? During each 1.5 hour online meeting we will:
- start with a check-in question to connect and ground us
- listen to others and be heard
- think, feel, and share about given prompts
- close with a check-out question
Unable to make 2nd Tuesdays? Join the waitlist for the following series starting this winter.
Facilitator, Hannah McHugh, is white (Northern European ancestry) and leads with humor, compassion, thoughtfulness, and authenticity. She taught at Seattle Girls’ School for fourteen years which included leading affinity groups for students and adults, serving as a founding member of the schools’ equity team, and developing and teaching anti-racism curriculum. She is eager to continue to do this work with other white folks who are also curious and determined.
What others have to say
"Hannah is very skilled in listening, acknowledging emotions in others, and supporting students and peers alike. She brings a learning and growth mindset every day, with self-awareness and understanding."
Phelana
"Hannah is a powerhouse! She is an ambitious learner. She enjoys challenging herself and growing and she brings everyone around her along for the ride. She doesn't shy away from hard conversations, rather she models 'calling people in' with care and vulnerability."
